Dutch Grand Prix
Golf Experience
In 2026, Amsterdam will host the last ever Dutch Grand Prix F1 race. And we’ve built an entire golf itinerary around it.
August 23–31, 2026
Amsterdam and Zandvoort, the Netherlands
The Netherlands just might be the golf world’s best kept secret.
Throughout the late 1920s and into the early 1930s, Harry Colt (Royal Portrush, Sunningdale, Muirfield, Royal County Down, Toronto Golf Club) had a big influence on the country’s golf culture. The result is four world-class Colt designs along the coastline—all within an hour of Amsterdam—that are more reminiscent of Scottish links than anything else.
For fans of Colt or any of his courses, this is a must-play roster that’s perfect for groups who have already ticked Scotland and Ireland off their list.
And it gets better: For F1 fans, the Dutch Grand Prix is one of the best fan experiences on the calendar—especially with countryman Max Verstappen’s fans creating a sea of orange. This is a truly bucket list experience—and the last possible year to tick it off.

The itinerary
Saturday, August 22, 2026: Red eye flight to Amsterdam; land the morning of August 23
Sunday, August 23, 2026: Acclimation day to shake out your legs in Amsterdam and see the sights
Monday, August 24, 2026: Royal Hague (Koninklijke) — typically rated #1 or #2 in the Netherlands, the first Harry Colt on the list is very reminiscent of British Isles links.
48km from central Amsterdam, ~40 minute drive
Tuesday, August 25, 2026: Utrecht de Pan — the other course that dukes it out for the #1 spot in the Netherlands, this Colt course was designed in 1929 and the club dates back to 1894.
60km from central Amsterdam, ~1 hour drive
Wednesday, August 26, 2026: Noordwijkse — golf has been played on this site since 1915 when the club was first formed, but this newer layout opened for play in the 1970s.
40km from central Amsterdam, ~40 min drive
Thursday, August 27, 2026: Hilversumsche Golf Club — another Colt design, this is a parkland style course that was recently renovated by Kyle Phillips (Kingsbarns; Dundonald Links)
44km from central Amsterdam, ~40 minute drive
Friday, August 28, 2026: Kennemer Golf Club — continuing the theme, Harry Colt remodelled this course in 1927. It’s another links course that has some doses of quirk (a blind shot here and there) and it’s only about 4km from the race track, so you’ll likely hear the F1 cars during their Friday practice sessions.
Saturday, August 29, 2026: Qualifying and the Sprint Race at Zandvoort
Sunday, August 30, 2026: Race day at Zandvoort
Monday, August 31, 2026: Fly home
